Kayak is becoming increasingly useful, though their lack of American and Southwest is quite annoying and they need to include more outbound airports within their choice matrix (I'm confident they have more landing airports than outbound airports to make the search matrix easier to handle). 

They have a newish tool for comparing airline fees, which is now a must before booking if you're even considering the need to check bags. 

Just got back from a great trip, and USAir now a) charges for ALL drinks onboard, and b) no longer even HAS those razor-thin paper envelopes to put your boarding pass and bag claims in.

Current thoughts from my trip:

Family is great.
Kids are great.
Nature is great.
Short selling is getting an enormously bad rap.  It is not the cause of all this.
Neither candidate actually understands on a personal level how the economy works.
This is far from over.
Local banks are the next big danger.
NYC economy in '09 in trouble.
