Here's the secret: With political news left to basically "who's in the cabinet?", the economy is being driven down by "them" to provide people like myself something to obsess over all day.  So long huffingtonpost, politico, the note, etc.  Hello, my google finance portfolio page, yahoo stock screening, dealbreaker, footnoted, bronte, etc.  All while listening to adam carolla podcasts, of course.

Here's a perfect example of what's happened to political reporting in the past two weeks.

OK, I may occasionally (ok, daily) still check here.  I can't commit to memorizing the 2010 Senate races yet, but I can't go fully cold turkey.  Can I?
