Etsy is a fairly well-known amazon-for-crafts site that in these economic times allows you to buy something handmade, different, creative, possibly cheaper, while supporting authentic Main Street American entrepreneurs and artists.  (Disclaimer: I truly love corporate America, and aspire to its highest bounties, but it's nice to have balance in your discretionary spending.)
